Installatørgruppen builds a group-wide data platform with Pyne

Client Background

Installatørgruppen is a FSN Capital portfolio company unifying Denmark’s technical installers through acquisitions. With 30+ companies and expansion into Switzerland, financial and procurement data lived in multiple ERPs and formats, limiting group-wide visibility and synergy capture.

Aspiration

Create a unified, scalable data platform for rapid post-merger integration, standardized financial views, and procurement insights that unlock group-level savings while keeping the central team lean.

How We Did It

  • Phased rollout: Piloted with one company, then scaled the blueprint across the portfolio for consistent onboarding and controls.
  • ERP integration with Weld: Ingested data from Navision, E-conomic, Business Central, Ekomplet, and more into a single repository with automated pipelines.
  • Unified data model and lineage: Standardized P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, and procurement with transparent lineage from source to report.
  • Procurement data mart: Consolidated supplier, SKU, and pricing history to enable cross-company benchmarking and negotiation prep.
  • Financial Consolidation Excel Upload: Developed a centralised uploading tool for all entities that streamlines the process of trial balance collection and format checking to remove the burden on the Finance team.
  • Governance and multi-entity controls: Centralized definitions, access, and auditability to support PE-grade reporting and compliance.
  • Reporting enablement: Delivered an initial Streamlit layer, with Power BI adopted for portfolio and company-level views.

Key Outcomes

  • Faster onboarding: New companies are connected in hours, often under two, enabling near-immediate consolidation.
  • Procurement leverage: Centralized spend visibility strengthens wholesaler negotiations and reduces costs.
  • Real-time portfolio view: Consistent financials across 30+ companies support quicker decisions and performance management.
  • Lean scalability: A single platform supports €300m+ revenue with minimal central overhead (3-person finance team) and extends seamlessly to Switzerland.
