Automating Time Tracking to Invoice Lines

Pyne aimed to drastically reduce the manual effort required to convert time tracking entries into invoice-ready line items, while improving accuracy and freeing up employee time for higher-value tasks.

We developed an AI-assisted invoicing solution that retrieves project and time tracking data via API, processes it with SQL transformations, and uses a large language model to summarize task notes into concise and accurate invoice descriptions. The system then automatically generates draft invoices in the e-conomic platform, ready for human approval before finalization.

The solution reduced time spent on invoicing by 95%, improved the clarity and quality of invoice line descriptions for customers, and freed up team members to focus on strategic, value-creating work rather than administrative tasks.
